Delicia Smith Valdosta, Ga
Delicia Smith is a member of the Figueroa Church of Christ and obeyed the Gospel at the age of eight. Music has been a very prominent part of her life. At age three, Delicia began singing with the Little Angel's Choir, where her first performance was at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. She began playing the piano at the age of six and was the First Place Winner of Spotlight on Youth, at the age of 15, where she performed, “La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin” by Claude Debussy.
She used her vocal abilities in many church choirs, such as United Children’s Choir, As One Vision, Special Occasions and currently, Psallo, Praise and Worship Team. She hosted her own radio show on KTYM at the age of eleven and in later years, sang background vocals for a great number of Church of Christ vocalists/artists, such as the late Jay Green, Joi Carr, Loraine Spears, Darron Jones and Kelvin Crigler; as well as
secular artists, the late Michael Jackson, The Jacksons, Warren G. and various up and coming artists. While attending California Polytechnic University, Pomona, she studied Communications/Music and sang Soprano for the Gospel, Jazz and Classical Cal Poly Choirs. For 10 years, Delicia, has had the honor of singing with the California Philharmonic Chorale where she sang as a Soprano Ringer and soloist. She played the unforgettable role of Bess from the opera, Porgy and Bess, at the Disney Concert Hall. Along with Psallo, Delicia currently is a member of the Golden State Pops Orchestra, Southwest Symphony, Grace Lutheran and Temple Akiba Choirs.
For twenty-two years, she has worked for Eide Bailly LLP, one of the top 25 CPA firms of its size in the United States.
